Customer Service Clerk

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned:

  • Provide superior customer service to all customers.
  • Compute bill, itemized lists, and tickets showing amount due.
  • Provide accurate change and receipts to customers.
  • Records amounts received and prepare reports of transactions.
  • Accurately record drops from cash drawer within company cash control policy.
  • Reads and records totals shown on cash register tape and verifies against cash on hand.
  • Quotes price and describes features of items for which money is received.
  • Operates cash register by passing price coded items across electronic scanner to record price, compile
  • printed list, and display cost of customer purchase, and tax on monitor screen.
  • Stock and face floor merchandise, cigarettes, cooler and freezer items in store.
  • Ensure products are within code date and stock is properly rotated.
  • Clean shelves, displays, equipment, pumps and station inside and outside by dusting, sweeping, removing garbage and using cleaning products.
  • Preparation and monitoring of hot food items, coffee station, and fountain products to ensure products are readily available and within holding time limits for freshness.

Description
Successful candidate must be customer service focused. Must be able to work independently and possess a professional attitude. Must be excited to learn and grow with the company. Attention to detail is a must. The position duties include: dispatch fuel to customer stations; schedule common carrier drivers for deliveries throughout California and Nevada. Responsible to monitor inventory managed sites; take fuel delivery orders from customers, and company marketers; reconcile freight invoices; confirm delivery of fuel to customers; review fuel rack prices; receive on-call phone calls regarding deliveries, retain issues, etc., other duties as assigned.

Description
We are seeking a salesperson experienced in telemarketing sales including prospecting, qualifying, pricing wholesale bulk deliveries of gasoline and diesel to retail service stations. Ideal candidate will have a proven work history and be valued and respected by their customers. Duties will include prospecting to obtain credit applications; quoting customers on a daily basis; receiving customer orders; and assisting in the collection process.
To perform the job successfully, individual should demonstrate the following competencies: exceptional interpersonal skills; individual must be a self starter and posses the ability to work independently with minimal supervision; organized and able to prioritize work load efficiently; demonstrates attention to detail and analytical skills; ability to develop and maintain a positive working relationship with others; intermediate computer skills including basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Position will initially be inside sales however may transition and require up to 15% monthly overnight travel. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Successful candidate must possess a professional attitude and be excited to learn and grow with the company.
